Autoclaves for glass lamination
The assembling of two or more glass sheets with a
laminated plastic film interposed between them, after being
adequately handled in autoclave, is called STRATIFIED
GLASS. Of large use, and more and more requested by the
market by virtue of the more restrictive norms in subjects
like stoutness and security, are tempered glass, tempered/
thoughened, both flat and curved, up to break-through proof
and bullet-proof glasses. Therefore, it can be easily
understood how the kind of assembling, of laminated plastic
(PVB) and above all the polymerization treatment inside the
autoclave are of essential importance to obtain a product of
good quality. In fact, the use of ITALMATIC autoclaves allows
to obtain the desired quality of the product. The reliability
and the precision of the cycles in autoclave allow to reach
and keep high quality standards of the product.

Autoclaves for production of photovoltaic panels
Italmatic Autoclaves for the production of photovoltaic
panels are hyperbaric chambers where temperature, pressure
and vacuum are controlled. The photovoltaic modules are
kept in single bags and loaded horizontally on the
corresponding tray trolleys. The control system, developed on
purpose for these applications, allows the running by step of
all process parameters, assuring a high quality of the final
product, which is always certified by the producer.

Autoclaves for composite materials
In the last years we have seen the evolution of new materials,
with excellent mechanical and physical features. The
mechanical resistance, together with the lightness of
COMPOSITE MATERIALS, are finding more and more
applications. We call composite material the product obtained
from the polymerization of carbon fibers and resins, adequately
prepared and shaped overlapping coats of fibers and resin on
moulds or cores. The polymerization of resins can occur in
heated moulds or in vacuum with controlled temperature, but if
we wish to obtain better results, it will be necessary to
polymerize our product in autoclave, keeping it in sealed
vacuum suitable envelopes to eliminate air infiltrations and
submitting it to an outside pressure to improve its
compactness. In fact, the quality of the product is obtained
inside the autoclave reaching an increase of mechanical
features up to 20-30% compared to other methods of
polymerization, which do not foresee the outside pressurization
of the product. Recently, at the success of the thermoplastic
resins and materials, we assisted at a further evolution of the
process techniques. Italmatic autoclaves followed these
innovations at par and assure safety, reliability, precision and
repeatability of cycles in time.

Autoclaves to rubberize rollers
To obtain rubberized products of high quality it is necessary to
cure rubber directly on the metal support to be coated.
Therefore, after coating the product with green rubber, it is
necessary to cure it; if there are small pieces and large
quantities, moulds and presses, where to put the manufactures
or directly inject rubber, can be used; but if there are pieces
with important sizes and limited quantities, the alternative is
curing in autoclave, where pressure and temperature are
controlled and there is no need of containing moulds. Clearly, if
special surface finishings are required, these must be carried
out after curing. Pressure and temperature can be planned
according to the rubber compound that was used for coating
and according to the metal mass, which the piece to be
rubberized is built with. In this field ITALMATIC is in the van
both for technology and specific knowledge, as it has been
producing for more than 20 years rollers and items coated with
the most various compounds. This direct experience allowed us
to develop new solutions for installations and curing cycles,
testing the different possibilities to exalt at the most the
features of our rubber coatings.

Autoclaves for truck tyres retreading
“AIT” Autoclaves are manufactured with certified materials and
with the most modern technologies which warrant:
• maximum work safety;
• power saving;
• long lasting;
• easy operation;

Autoclaves for E.M. tyres retreading
OTR autoclaves are mainly manufactured for E.M. and
agricultural tyres retreading and repair, but they can also be
used for truck tyres. Heating systems:
A. With direct steam.
B. With air and steam mix.
C. With hot air circulation with steam coil, or heating element,
or combined with both.
They can be equipped with a central support beam combined
with monorail for truck tyres, or with upper monorail for an
optimal use in case of OTR retreading with “precured” system.
OTR autoclaves are fitted with modern equipments for pressure
and temperature control. They are completely insulated and
they have very low heat loss. They are equipped with hydraulic
system to close the door and with manual, automatic and
emergency safety systems.
X
Autoclaves for impregnation
Autoclaves are specifically manufactured to warrant a perfect
impregnation in vacuum by means of resins, compounds, etc.
This application is especially known in mechanical, electrical,
electronic industries, in the ones working wood, in foundries
and in the “Marble/Granite” field. In electrical and
electromechanical industries in general, the impregnation
procedure increases the capacity of dielectric resistance of the
components and also their insulation resistance, warranting
the impossibility of introduction and deposit of outside
impurities in the porosities of the materials under treatment. In
the wood industry, this treatment allows the absolute
protection of the material destined to the use in buildings in
general, where long efficiency and life are requested in outside
climatic conditions particularly severe. In the mechanical
industry and in foundries, impregnation warrants insulation to
the components in aluminium, brass, iron, magnesium, zinc,
etc., to avoid absolutely the deposit of impurities that would
cause the refusal of the component by the production lines. In
the “Marble/Granite” field, the autoclave is used to renew inside
breakages/cracks of blocks or sheets of valuable granites or
marbles, by the application of special resins in vacuum and
pressure conditions. Autoclaves can be manufactured with
every size and can be also supplied complete with centrifuge
and washing tanks. Moreover, installations in line or at circular
island can be carried out, in accordance with the specific
requests of the Customer.

Autoclaves for stator bars treatment
The autoclave is destined to be used in the plant for the
treatment of Roebel half coils and stator coils, with insulation
of type Resin- Rich. It is used in the process of insulation of
stator elements of electric machines, using the COMPOUND
technological cycle. In the process a mixture of bitumen named
Compound is used. The compound, kept at a liquid state and at
a temperature of approx. 170°C, is used as an energy vector to
heat stator bars contained in the tank inside the autoclave. The
heating of the autoclave and of its content is necessary to
generate the polymerization of the insulating resins deposited,
at a gel state, on tapes that are wrapped around the bars to be
insulated.
